The navy suit serves as a timeless allrounder, as it can be used for most occasions. Three key elements to look out for are:
1. The shoulder fit should be just right, as this part of the suit is impossible to adjust at the tailor's. The quicker you understand that not all suits will fit you as well, the more effective your search will be. Sizing up or down might not always be the best option. Try different fits by different brands to find out what really suits your body type.
2. The trousers should never be too long or too short. It is however still trendy to show a little ankle and sport a nice pair of loafers in summer (picture 3). Trousers that are too long tend to make you look shorter. A general rule regarding this point is; slim fit trousers can be a little shorter than regular fit ones.
3. The sleeve length should leave between 1 and 2 cm of your shirt visible.
